All most radio triggers require of a camera to work is a hotshoe.
We just had a discussion on PocketWizards in the Canon area. Here are the prices I found per transceiver unit on B&H: Plus II: $169 MultiMax: $295 FlexTT5: $219 MiniTT1: $$199 PocketWizards are the industry gold standard for radio triggers. They're costly at about $200 per unit and you'll need at least two: one for the camera hotshoe, and one for the flash. For each additional light you want to add to the scheme, you'll want another PW. If you're on a budget, you may be better off with the less reliable, but much cheaper, Cactus V4s or Yongnuo RF602s. They come with separate Transmitter/Receiver units, rather than transceivers, but it's about $40 for a Tx/Rx set, and ~$100 to get a Tx/3Rx set. So, about than half the cost to set up three lights as it would be to set up one with PWs. For better build quality/reliability and compatibility with Paul C. Buff lights like WhiteLightnings or AlienBees, you probably want Cybersyncs. If you want remote power commanding via quench pin technology, then RadioPopper JrXs might be what you want. If you want iTTL/CLS capability over radio, however, then PocketWizard PXs or the TTL PocketWizards, are your only choices.

I have a little family of PocketWizards and I love them!
I have 1x miniTT1 and 4 FlexTT5s and enough cables to get them to fire my studio lights and set up a remote shutter release. They give me wireless ETTL and power & ratio control with my EX580IIs with a tested range of more than 150m! Unfortunately, these two are Canon only at the moment - there's still no firm word on when the Nikon versions are expected. The PWII and MultiMax work with Nikon, but no ETTL. Yes they are expensive, but they work (well mine work , the US versions have had problems with RF interference between EX580IIs and the FlexTT5s - but there's a workaround.)I've long been an advocate of buying well and buying once. You truly do get what you pay for. I'm confidently relying on the fact that my PWs will outlive any cheap flea-bay triggers by a significant margin.
