Default My Showing is now Over

Well, my show and exhibit at the gallery down on Main Street is over. I went down and picked up the pieces that didn't sell and a check for the ones that did. Didn't strike it rich, but I think I did enough to order the Canon 50D I've had my eye on for awhile. Also got a lot of exposure and met some really nice folks and made some very contacts that thought that I should join the St. Louis Artists Guild.

If you ever get a chance to have your own show/exhibit, go for it. It is a great expereince and I wouldn't have missed it for the world. So glad I did it, and you will be too. check your local galleries, send them submissions and see what happens, you won't regret it.

Framations Show

Its a lot of work, ordering prints, mattimg, framing, but in the end, when you see that wall with all your work on it and people walking about discussing your works, it really hits home.

I'M A PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER!!!! No, just kidding. But it does make you feel good, really good when someone buys something! Oh well, just my little rant for the day. Thanks to all of you who have been kind in your comments and some who have been helpful on the mechcanical side (Jim).

Mark

P.S. Looking forward to seeing everyone in May at Starved Rock for the photowalk.
P.S.S. Prints are still on sale at my Zenfolio site, address in sig.

Congrats! It's an amazing feeling having your work displayed in a gallery.

Congratulations.

I must have missed the beginning thread.

Did you do an inventory on what did and didn't sell? See what people like in particular?

Thanks guys. It was a lot of work, but I had a good time, made a little money, got to see what people were interested in and got to see my stuff on the wall of a gallery.

Congrats. Sounds like you had a great time. That's what's important. Of course a bit of money doesn't hurt either.

Congratulations! I remember when you posted that you were going to do the gallery show and I was hoping you'd give us a follow up thread. It sounds like you got some nice sales and some good networking going. That's great.

Way to go bud! Just think what you could have done if you shot with a Nikon.
