Default My Aperture 3 Review

I decided to review aperture 3 after spending a few weeks with it and updating to 3.01 thank god. The heavens opened up and their was this glorious software product. So I wrote a review.

Nice review... I just may have to give it a try. Thanks, Brian!

I have a quick question...
I just received my new iMac...
I'm currently using Lightroom. Is Aperture 3 compatible with .DNG files? When I started using LR I was converting my files. Also one more question...
Do I have to download the update? It really hard to download large file out here.

It is compatible with DNG's and if you get the trial on apples site right now it is patched to the 3.01 version already.

I think you would have to order the cd and have it delivered but you then would juts put the license in to activate it. It then will convert your trail library to a full library.

Actually you can buy a license online and they email you the activation code. The difference is you do not get a physical CD. Yes, the activation code converts the trial to a full version.

They did "get it right" this time, though it still has some "quirks". Since I like to download and test anything for the trial period, I've tried the other competing packages and feel that Aperture provides a superior workflow and user experience. My experiences with DXOoptics and Lightroom were just not quite as satisfactory.

I may have to break down and buy this. I just dl'ed the beta, and I am impressed! Coming from all open source, like Gimp, and Raw Therapee, it is a godsend! I guess you pay either way! Sweat equity, or money! At this point, I would rather spend a little cash, than sit behind a computer processing photos 1 by 1. I am going to familiarize myself with it through the trial period, but it looks like a keeper! Some of the functions, such as the adjustment brush resembles CaptureNX. On another note, it doesn't seem to tax my poor little Vista system as much as the others do either! Big thumbs up from this tightwad!

Was your review of the beta version?
I'm waiting for it to get out of beta to buy. Your review made me think it was, but I all I can find is the link to beta.
