Default Weeeeee!!!!

I'm excited, just ordered my Cannon 50mm 1.8 from B&H this morning along with a few more memory cards. Can't wait to see what I can do with this lens compared to the kit lens on my Rebel XTi. Hopefully this Nor-Easter is gone by the time it gets here

Definitely a fun little lens. Now you just have to learn to zoom with your feet !

Have fun! I think I may get one as my first addition to my kit gear. Don't forget to show us some of your shots with your new toy!

Have fun!

Both the I and II versions of these are great, although yes, especially the II version. I have to say that I own this even though I also have better version of this... while they have obviously advantages, the 50mm f/1.8 tends to lead in sharpness.

Cheers! Imho it's a good affordable lens, with a good quality for its price.
If you close it to f3 it becomes sharp like a razor, but it's still really usable even at f1.8 .
Funny lens indeed.
