I absolutely love my moo mini-cards. Yes, they are small, but (a) the quality is first-class, (b) they are personalised with the best shots from my portfolio and (c) my clients (and future clients) love them. They are stuck on fridges all over my local area!
I've been toying with the idea of using the full-sized cards as a promotional tool for weddings. People always love seeing themselves on business cards - I can't help but think how quickly a couple will spread 250 cards if I pop one of their wedding photos on the back. Business Cards - shout out for Moo!

I too have Moo cards. I got a bunch done last year, and although the overall quality was fantastic, I was a little disappointed with them, because all the pictures were darker than my originals. Both my monitors are calibrated (the laptop and the desktop) and tweaked so that what comes out of my own printer is exactly what's on the screen, but it turns out that everything I get printed elsewhere comes out a little darker.
It's no biggy though - I've just created a quick action in Photoshop to change the brightness and contrast slightly on images that I'm sending off to be printed, so that they come back right. Since I sorted that out, I've had another two boxes of Moo cards, and they're just SO nice - it's almost a shame to give them away! Russ.

As for a promotional tool, I know one photographer that makes cards out of engagement session photos, and then puts a stack of them out for their wedding. It must be working for her...she's one of the highest paid wedding photographers in the city. |

I like the concept of Moo cards but the last time I bought some I was disappointed - there was a strong colour cast despite me colour correcting them beforehand. Postage seems a little on the expensive side too.

I always get mini moo cards. I love them. I agree they tend to print a tad dark, but they're still fine for business cards & distinctive enough that people remember them.
Be warned, though, that creating mini moo cards can be addictive. Finding new ways of filling the cover space is just too tempting as they can all be different. That has reminded me that I do need to get some more. S

I've got the normal size. I like them. But knowing what I do now, I would have and will get the mini's. They're all the rage. Plus their size really stands out. Smaller is better? Who knew?
