Default My Neighbors Think I'm Nutty

The answer is a definite "yes". I'll be on my way to work or on my way home or out to lunch and if I see a shot I want to take, I stop the car and take the shot. It's fun and opportunities sometimes don't always come up.

I don't carry my camera with me everywhere, but I do keep it in the car with me. There's a lot of nature around and I love being able to snap a shot whenever I see something pretty. I also always have a laundry list of photos needed for my local blog so I can get those done when I'm running around.

I used to carry my prosumer with my everywhere, however now that I have a little one & have a diaper & milk bag to carry around as well, having a third bag can be a bit of a chore. Anytime that I do have it with me though & if I see a good shot, I'll stop & take it, no matter where it is. I've been contemplating (or atleast dreaming about) buying a d-slr so I can have better quality shots, as well as a digital compact so I can easily bring it with me anywhere.

...Ah, the joys of being addicted to photography

Well.......when I created this thread with my question, that is exactly what I was thinking, carry it with you as in, carry it in the car. I guess living out in the middle of nowhere, I forget that some folks may don't have to be in a car everywhere they go, hehehe.

Farthest I ever walk is to the mailbox, which is probably a trip to the store for some, hehe. Anything other than that is at least 10 miles, and I'm not walking that!

I carry my camera often (always my cameraphone, but that's a rather weak camera), and will stop on the side of the road for a pic if safe to do so, have done so on many occasions, so I can get stuff like this.

I carry my camera bag with me, the few times I haven't, good shots were missed and I really hate that!

Like others have said, as long as I can stop the car safely, I will and DO stop often to take pictures. I've even conditioned my family...my husband will often comment 'might be some good pictures along the way' and my hooligans holler 'LOOK, MOM--shoot that!' (Those hooligans need their own cameras...and soon LOL!)

I've yet to hear/read where someone says 'Ppfft, I carry my camera but never find good shots' whereas I'm always hearing/reading folks say 'Oh man, do I wish I'd had my camera with me!'....

i decided to drive my car back to where i worked(3500km) and couldn't really stop too much along the way. i had come across good spots but at the wrong time of the day. one day, i'll do this drive for leisure and take 2 weeks plus not two and a half days.

I stopped on the side of the road on the way to my girlfriends house the other day. Lots of snow on the sides of the road, but I still climbed my blue W.Beetle up on the side and my girlfriend wasn't too happy, calling me reckless, which resulted in the shot of the seaside landscape being rather bad. So it tells you two things:
*Always stop when you can to take the picture, despite what she says, and
** Don't bring your girlfriend to photoshoots with hot models.

....it'd just get messy, eh?

(I'm not entirely sure I was going to say that when I started this post...)

I definately stop all the time.
I live on a farm a mile from a small town. I have stopped in the middle of the grid road quite often when I see a shot. Of course... the road I am on doesn't have a lot of traffic... so its safe for me to do this. When I am somewhere that there is traffic... I will pull over to the nearest safest place... and walk back to where I saw the shot.
