I know there is a site (there may be several, I dont' know) where you can go to view your website on several different sized screens? To see what it looks like to your clients or people viewing your site from their different sized computer screens. Do you know what I'm talking about?
Does anyone know the name of that site or have the url?

Oops, mis read OP, I was thinking you wanted to test browsers as well not just screen size.
I use firefox's web developer toolbar that lets me adjust my screen size to custom set sizes to check screen size. Checking your site across browsers is much more important that checking at different sizes. IE6 & IE7 will display sites A LOT different than Firefox, Webkit and Opera so it's really important to check all 4 browsers at least. Cheers Free

Thanks everyone! And that's okay, I'll take both kinds of sites. I was mainly asking because someone viewed my blog and said they couldn't see my new background I just made (the part on either side of the content). So it made me wonder if it was because of their screen size. And then I started thinking...oh no, what if I have my blog set too wide so it cuts some things off on smaller screens. You know, the dreaded having to scroll back and forth to see stuff. Ack. So I just wanted to check it out. I have my blog set to 1000pixels wide. So I'm not sure of all the screen sizes.

Just had a look and I'm sorry to say - you're a few pixels too wide
![]() I need to scroll about half an inch to "see" the entire site at 1024x786. It's no huge deal as no content is hidden, but it's a pain in the backside having the horizontal scroll bar there at all ![]() I don't go any bigger than 960px wide for sites as that leaves plenty of room for browser chrome on a 1024px wide monitor. Although with more and more people starting to surf on smaller devices such as iphones and blackberries, you might want to think about making things even smaller very soon. The iphone useage stats alone in the US are amazingly huge and using smaller devices is only going to get more popular as more hardware evoles.
