Default Aggggghhhhhhhhh!

AGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH! I was so excited to come home from my meeting at the Washington State Veterans home, where I'll be working on a portrait project of WWII-Gulf War Vets, to find that Aperture 3 was delivered to my doorstep. After trying the install I found out that I have to upgrade my OS program to Snow Leopard........WFT. So back on MacMall I went and ordered it for $25.00.

It's a plot to get one to upgrade to a newer operating system. I have Panther and love it, so guess I have to bit the bullet and upgrade. What the hell........with postage it was only about $31.00. Much cheaper than the $129.00 upgrade costs a while back.

Uh, Jim... Snow Leopard (10.6) only works if you have an Intel Mac. They've completely droppped PowerPC support with Snow Leopard. I only mention this because Panther was the last pre-Intel release of OSX. Hope you just confused Panther (10.3) with Tiger (10.4) or Leopard (10.5), and this doesn't mean a huge splash.

You can tell if you have an Intel mac by going to [apple] -> About This Mac -> More Info... and looking up the processor name.

It's better than the new Windows upgrade thats $300+ unless you're a student (then it's about $40).
