Talking My Steal of a Deal

I used to work in a department store that sells camera equipment.
One day on the system I saw that we had a Canon 40D accessory kit. I went to try and find it to see if I could get it for a staff discount sorta thing...
And I could not find it. So I hassled the people in that department and they couldn't find it either.
I assumed this kit would include Battery Grip, Bag, and an extra battery. Which is worth ~250 dollars where I am from.
Then I noticed the kit was on clearance. 200 days clearance. That's crazy! It would have never gone this long, if it weren't missing.
Days went and passed, I switched jobs. One day I received a call from an old worker who said she found the kit, I came in and the manager offered it to me for 30 DOLLARS! I let them keep the case, as I have a much better one, and walked out the door with a BG-E2 grip and an extra battery for my 40D.
You should have seen the smile that was on my face

WOW! That's pretty awesome!

I recently had to haggle Sears to match the price of my Nikon D3000...They wanted $699 for the set w/ 2 lenses, where as Best Buy only wanted $599. Of course, I bought my camera the day after a snow storm and wasn't going to travel all the way to Best Buy... of course, I got what I wanted for the reasonable price.
