Default Seeing as how a few threads have gotten a bit heated lets...

...get back on track.

Nikon or Canon


Obviously that should say FEW threads not fee...because that makes no sense!

Nikon. Because one of my best friends has a Nikon and once we start getting more lenses we can borrow back and forth.

I don't even have a DSLR

But I've been indulging myself and think Sony's range includes some great options, they also have in-body camera-shake reduction, which sounds like a real advantage over Nikon and Canon.
I'm a poor student though so plenty of time for research

Hm? Nikons have "Vibration Reduction" in the camera bodies. Canons don't, but they claim it's because tailoring the mechanism for each specific lens is more effective. Whatever :P.

Vibration Reduction isn't in the Nikon bodies, it's in their lenses...same as Canon and their Image Stabilization lenses.
