God did not, will not, nor can He ever make a mistake. The problem is with our deficient ways of attempting to record His magnificant creation.

“There are no rules for good photographs, there are only good photographs.”
This one is my favorite one and the amateurs love this quote. No rules? I guess a lot of it depends on exactly who is judging the photograph as to whether it is a "good photograph" or not. If your mother is doing the judging then the image below is "good," others however may not agree. Personally I think it sux!

I think you're reading way too much into this. I see this as a tongue-in-cheek statement about the necessity of post processing in getting images that match what we really saw.

Again, I think you might be missing the forest for the trees. He's not saying all photos are good. He's saying there's no formula for creating good photos. Sure there are some guidelines as to what makes a good image, but there is no set of rules that when applied to photography will yield a good photo.

I could relate to quite a few of those quotes but this one really stood out for me.

Sometimes when I take a photo of a beautiful horizon with a lone tree or windmill or whatever and to my eyes it is a beautiful vista, once I look at the photo on my LCD screen the object on the horizon has shrunk to twice the size and the sky that was a beautiful rich blue is now a horrid washed out chewing gum grey!
