Default Did you ever..

Did you ever subscribe or buy a certain magazine on a monthly basis, JUST because of the photography. Other than photography magazines. Mine was Life magazine. I remember as a young lad turning the pages slowly and looking at every shot in amazement. They had it all covered from shots of the Beatles to the war in Vietnam, and I remember thinking that they had hired the best of the best.

My mom bought me a subscription to National Geographic when I was a kid because she thought I was reading them. She cancelled it when she found out I was just looking at the pictures a few years later.

I still have an impressive collection (about 4 years worth).

I totally agree, that was the other magazine I would love to look at. I had a friend whose dad got that. Those guys( men and women), where and still are amazing.

I would get a subscription to Nat Geo that's a very nice magazine. I made the mistake of getting a subscription to Outdoor Photographer. That magazine is a joke. There is 1 how to article per month thats usually 2 or 3 pages long then they usually have some kind of artist feature that may be 3 or 4 pages long. The rest is all advertisements.

Needless to say I'm very disappointed in this magazine and will never renew my subscription once its gone. They do have some very nice landscape images but so does Nat Geo and it actually has good content inside.

The content in Landscape photographer is beginner at best.

My girlfriend gets Skiing magazine, and they have amazing, amazing photography. They even have regular features with photographers, it's a topic they regularly cover. But the photos are such an awesome combination of landscape and action. Very inspirational.

Ah, the joys of nude photography :P

I'm subscibed to Focus, it's a magazine by the BBC, on technology and stuff, and they have this section called "Megapixel"; where they print rather amazing pictures full page or double paged! Plus I love my geeky stuff, so it's a great mag for me
