Getting responses is often a hit or miss affair. There's no real rhyme or reason to it, but at times good photos get overlooked.
Some things that might help are: In critique, follow the rules stickied up at the top of that section, such as asking a specific question and posting EXIF data. If you post in a section like macro technique that doesn't get much traffic, then you'll likely have a harder time getting responses. It's just the nature of that section. And, the more you post and comment on others' photos, the more people will remember you and want to comment on your photos. Hope this helps.

An attention getting title helps....
Asking a specific question helps. If you are just sharing a pic, don't expect much.

#1. Know where you are posting. If you post in SYS, you won't get squat for feedback.
#2. Have an accurate title. Nothing annoys me more than a "my first shot" titles or some lame ass flowery title to a photo you want a crtique on. Chances are, if you have a fancy adjective-filled title, the more likely you are to not respond well to feedback unless it's a butt-kiss. ~Eric |

In response to that, I'm hearing that I need to create attention grabbing titles without using hoite toite adjectives. Makes sense. |

To reiterate something that may have gotten lost:
In the critique forum, many people deliberately ignore posts which ignore the rules. That's because they, well, ignore the rules! It's much easier to respond to a post in which specific questions have been asked, and appropriate data has been presented about the photo.

Give it a little time as well. I've just looked over your threads and notice that you haven't been waiting that long.
Meanwhile, as you wait, you could always look for other people who seem to have been overlooked. Give them a response and they might reiterate. At very least you'll have stopped them feeling ignored even if all you directly get is the warm fuzzy feeling of helping some out. Wulf |
