Default Just a little ticked.

It's been well over a month now and still have not been paid for the shoots I did for Marvel College. As per the contract I should have been paid a couple of weeks ago. Now I'm getting the perverbial run-around.

I miss the days when a hand shake was good enough.

.... Lesson learned there.

I learned that lesson A LONG time ago, the hard way.

I wish life used to be like it was, a persons' word was golden and they stood on their merit.

Not so much anymore, contracts and signed documents are the way to go.

Ugh, bummer. And totally unacceptable. Can you imagine going into the supermarket & telling them you'll pay them for your goodies in a few weeks time? It's so rude that they have not paid you - and from a college too! Do you have any lawyer pals you can name-drop into conversation with them?

Ya, Sox is right... keep hounding them. Eventually they'll pay you just to get you to shut up!

My problem is that I'm a very trusting person, I never thought would be a bad thing. I guess in these times it is. Next time I will have a kick ass contract.

I wish I did have a lawyer. I think they know it would be small claims and we all know thats a joke.

Hehe! Too right! And Paul, send their phone number my way - I do a great impression of a lawyer & I can sound really scary at times, especially with this foreign accent - kind of makes people listen sometimes! Don't be fooled by the silly tartan hat with the red hair attached.......

That's pretty much the attitude I'd have... screw future work if you can't get paid for current work!
