Used Canon EOS 450D 12.2M + 18-55mm lens £350 good or bad?

Hi I'm wanting to buy my first DSLR and dont have a big budget, I was wondering what you guy think about this Used Canon EOS 450D 12.2M & 18-55mm lens £350 good or bad? (yes uk £ not sure what that is in dollars sorry!) Any help would be great

Hello Tasha2493,

That's not a bad price, ($A534, $US567.) and a good camera to learn on. I've had mine for two years and am ready to upgrade to a 7D, but you will get lots of great photos out of this camera. I started with the stock 18-55 as well, but upgraded my lens as I became more hungry.

I must say that I have been photographing for nearly no, exactly 50 years and I learn't a lot of bits and pieces with my film SLR's including my Mamiya, which i still have. But the 450D has served me well.

Plenty of things to learn here. Good photpgraphing.
