Default Canon 50mm f/1.4 lens (brand new)

Hi,

I'm fairly new to DSLR photography and inadvertently bought this lens thinking I was buying a cheap macro (sigh! tsk!). I bought it for $417 (post free) and would like to offer it for sale for the same price plus postage - negotiable. It has never been used, as I realised my mistake as soon as I opened the package, but unfortunately the store doesn't do returns unless it is a manufacturing problem.

Anyone interested in buying it?

=) Hi.

I just have one small piece of advice. I understand you were looking for a macro, and that you are failry new to the DSLR scene, but are you at all into portrait photography? If so, you will regret selling this lens in the near future. =) Just sayin'. lol

I agree. It's a great lens, you should think about keeping it. Awhile back I was stuck between the 35mm f/2.0 and the 50mm f/1.4. I decided on the 35mm because I thought it'd be more versatile. Anyway, when came it in the mail I opened up the box to find that I had mistakenly ordered the 50mm. At first I was disappointed and was going to send it back, but I decided to keep it and I'm glad I did. I admit, I often find 50mm a little to long, but I'm saving up for the 17-40mm f/4L. Which should remedy my wide angle craving
