Default FS: Olympus 70-300 & E520 & 55-200

We already know this is an awesome lens but I have the 50-200 and don't really need this one. It's for sale on ebay for $255 + $10 shipping. That's a price drop. I paid $280 for this lens. It's clean, no scratches and..you know the phrase "great for the money."

ebay name Natural717

or PM me

My E520 is also for sale for $275, body only, with neck strap, extra battery, software, power cord. Great condition, I take care of my body. Hehehehe. I would take slightly less than $275. Shipping is $12.95

Sigma 55-200 also for sale for Olympus. A mere $105 + $8.00 shipping.

UPDATE: THE 520 HAS BEEN SOLD.

Just a quick question. Would the Sigma 55-200 be an upgrade worth getting for my E520 over my 40-150 lens that came with my camera?

actually it's a very nice lens, i decided to hold on to it for a little while longer. it's not for sale.

from what i read, the 40-150 out performed the sigma lens slightly. truthfully, i didn't see much of a difference. i think the sigma lens does very well. when in doubt between the two, i probably would go with the olympus brand over a third party..not to say the sigma lens is not good. i like it a lot, but i also have the 50-200, so technically i don't need it. i'll take some more photos with it for a few months and then i'll see if i want to relist it again. it wasn't very expensive and is great to have as an alternative.

i'll take some photos with it and post them here.

Thanks for the info. Sorry to reply here but what about the 70-300 lens and is there a third party flash thats cheaper for starting out than the Olympus. I am new to the whole SLR camera and just got my E520 a couple of months ago and want to really get into it. I am really looking for a all purpose lens to replace both my 14-42 and 40-150 or should i just stick with what I have? Any suggestions?

i have this one

Amazon.com: Bower SFD926O Digital Autofocus Power Zoom TTL Flash + Bracket + Cord + Batteries + Cleaning Kit for for Olympus Evolt E-3, E-30, E-620, E-520, E-510, E-450, E-420, E-410 Digital SLR Cameras: Camera & Photo'

and highly recommend it. i use it with my slow to focus lens - well one of them has been sold inside and it is awesome. i paid 102.00 from b&h though.

the output is excellent! it swivels, it bounces, it's TTL metering, the head zooms, comes with a diffuser. it's powerful. it can also be set to manual. this flash is excellent. i have it with me right now. it's a lot less expensive that the fl36/50 and it's so good, my exif data thinks it's an FL50.

all purpose lens. not sure. i was going to get the 18-180 - i think that's what it is, but i decided to keep my 50 on as my main lens. when i need to something wide, i used my 14-54 and telephoto i use the 50-200. it just depends on what i need.

if i'm going out and need just one lens, like to the zoo, i'll use the 50-200 and bring my compact camera. even though it's heavy the 50-200 will cover me for what i want.

since i'm not selling the 55-200 sigma, i will also use that for lighter days, like today.

the kit lenses are decent. i would hold on to them until you absolutely need something else. what do you take pictures of. i think that dictates my selection. i could use a wider lens for landscapes, but i don't need it just yet.

not a bad lens. i haven't had it long, but it does well when i don't want to carry my other lens. here's a handheld shot i took two days ago. on a tripod, this would be even sharper. this photo is straight out of camera.

Testing Sigma 55-200
