Default WTB: Nikon Prime lense.

Hey all,
I have just been introduced to the fantastic world of prime lenses and as a result of loving it Im trying to find a Prime lense for my D90.
Im after pretty much anything that is between 20mm and 50mm and quite fast. Due to lack of funds I cannot afford a new lense. If anyone has a lense in there kit that they have been thinking of selling to upgrade, let me know I may be able to help you out.

Cheers

Glen

If money is a problem your best bet is the nikkor 50mm f/1.8 AF. I've never really seen 24mm, 28, or 35mm go for as cheap as the 50mm and you should be happy with it. That could help narrow your search.

Do you need a lens that uses the AF-S feature? Remember your D90 (I have one as well) is a DX format, so if you purchase the non DX formats, you have some cropping factors, and also you have to manually use it. This is my dilema right now. I have a 35mm prime. I am not happy b/c you cannot be too close. It really is for portraits. I am thinking I need a wide prime lens. Have you thought about renting to try them out first?

The 35mm f/1.4 EX from Sigma fits your bill. I cant vouch personally for it, but I've heard nothing but good things.

I have a 35mm and a 50mm for my D90...My favorite is the old 50mm 1.8!
