Default The Circle of Life

1. Open an image in Photoshop
2. Make a square selection using the marquee tool
3. Apply the filter 'Polar Coordinates' In this step, use the bottom radio button, marked “Polar to Rectangular”
4. Rotate the selection 180 degrees.
5. Now apply the same filter as in point 3. But do NOT just choose it from the top of the Filter menu. We are going to change one of the parameters so you have to choose it from Filters > Distort > Polar Coordinates… again. This time, choose the upper radio button, labeled “Rectangular to Polar”:
6. Crop the picture to get rid of the stuff surrounding.

if you want to apply a filter again but want to change something you can hold ctrl+alt+shift (mac: cmd+opt+f) and you get the same filter but with the box for the options =)

Talking Scanning

Was going to take this further, but I'm out of time. (Shouldn't be playing like this!) Anyway - you get the drift ... though my "scan-lines" in the green part of the image seem to have gotten lost in the JPG compression...
