Well.. this really didn't turn out to be anything fancy.. but it was pretty fun doing!
When I made a quick evaluation of where she was staring I came to the conclusion that she was really gazing at the lite painting or what it is in the low-right-corner. ![]() Steps: I did a square that I filled with the gradient tool (colors red and orange, orange at the top, and red above) and then I used Liquify under filters to drag the flames out. After that I used free transform (ctrl+t) to make the flames as big as I wanted them. I copied the layer (ctrl+j) and than I used gaussian blur on the copy and put the copy underneath the other flames in the layer and moved them so that there was a little more flames. Then I used the burn tool at a low opacity (20%) on the flames to make them darker. For the making of the straight lines I selected the brush tool with red, clicked once in on eye and then held down shift and clicked in the down right corner. This makes a line. Repeat for eye #2. Then I copied the lines layer, used gaussian blur on it and put it under the first layer. The last thing i did was to make a hue/saturation adjustment layer and filling the mask with black. Then I painted with white in the eyes. Oh, and one more thing. I went back to the fire and changed the opacity at the layers. The first non-blurred layer is 46% and the last blurry one is 79%. |

Following along the lines of Calzadar with the eyes I decided she was certainly looking at something.
Lowered saturation and increased contrast. Used the warp tool to make her eyes even bigger. Created a new blank image. Copy and pasted 2 images onto it. Flood filled the blank layer with a gradient. Added text with the same gradient set as background color so it would be used for the color of the text. Added drop shadows to all layers. (only now I wish I would have used different colors for the text, sigh)

The triplets have some fun showing each other their "stupid human tricks", but the two older ones got a little freaked when their baby sister showed them what she could do with her eyes.
![]() Opened in GIMP, doubled canvas width, duplicated, flipped, duplicated the lower layer again and positioned between the two, masked out unwanted portions of the third one, selected eye area of third one and filled with some funkiness, selected around hair of first girl and colorized red, selected around teeth of second girl and colorized blue, flattened, selected the wall and put the swirls on a new layer, flattened again. BTW, love the first two posts. They're hysterical!

I turned her into a zombie!
![]() Using Photoshop I went into quick mask mode and with the brush tool, made a nice oval selection of just her face. Being careful not to get any of the hair. Then went back into normal mode. When I do this the entire image is selected so what you need to do is click the *Select* tab and click on *Inverse*. Now you have just the face selected. The next step I went on the internet and found a lovely zombie face and brought that image into Photoshop. Then chose *Edit>Copy* selecting the entire image. Then went back to the first image of the girl. This is the critical step. Click *Edit* then choose *Paste Into* and it will paste it into just the selection of the face. It will create a new layer from the zombie picture. I re-sized and rotated the layer till it matched the girls head. Lowered the opacity to match her skin tone and thats it!

![]() Used Adobe Photoshop filter tools. First used the polygonal mask and masked her face, hair and hand, then inversed the mask Then used Filter brush strokes cross-hatch to reduce some of the stripes in the sweater and add some effects to the plain wall.Stoke length 9 Sharpness 14, Strength 2. Then removed the mask. And added a mask to just the black cuff which was too black. Used brush strokes - Spatter spray radius 24 and smoothness 1 Then removed all masks altogether. Used Artistic effects poster edges. Edge thickness 4 edge intensity 1 posterization 1 Then I added a grey scale thought balloon, and within in placed a cute quotation to add to the poster cartoon drawing type effect. Quote:

her eyes were weirding me out, so idecided to change them.....
![]() using masks, i selected the white of her eyes, flipped them, and placed them over her irises.....refocused the direction she was looking in by creating new irises out of a nice shade of green treated with a pattern overlay.....dotted in pupils in black......and added catchlights of slivers of white at a reduced opacity...... decided that hat was a bit much....as well as the distractions to the left and behind her.....so, again with the mask of the right background, flipped horizontally and moved to the left of the frame.....grabbed some hair from the right and filled in wispies where the hat was..... the shirt i toned down with a layer of green set to multiply.... and still her eyes weird me out..... ![]() peeper |
