Sorry all - shouldn't have used local term - yes wellies are Wellington Boots & over here in the UK they are getting very colourful even for adults now

The "Pioneer Press" mailbox was no doubt a tip-off for you, but I have to say, it could have just as easily been Wisconsin...the house is outside Stillwater, just a few skips from the St. Croix River.
