Default Wwyd #112

Wasn't sure what to do with this one! I reversed the image and created a new layer. Created the white frame with a layer mask and moved it around with the distort function. I then created a gradient layer using various shades of green and painted the rest of the image out. Created another layer in black and moved it to create the shadow. Used a gaussian blur and dropped the opacity to about half. I then gave it an acid burn frame.

Default "Sammy Squirrel loves Betsy Squirrel"

On his day off, Sammy practiced creative writing.

The pleasant green and orange of this photo and the unusual pose moved me to just change a few things, and add some lettering.

Larger version: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2673/...757deddf_b.jpg

Rotated right just a few degrees, then used Perspective and Distort tools to level scene, as if photo had been taken straight-on. Cloned out the vertical pole and some distracting light spots. Added back some supports on bottom.

- Copied original, used copy as base.
- Placed overlay copy in a vignette (light to dark) to slightly darken perimeter, while lightening squirrel's head.
- Using a small Brush, added "SS [heart] BS" and a piece of chalk in squirrel's paw.
- Added shadow over lettering

Cirque de "squirrel"

Isolated the squirrel with the foreground select tool, and pasted him into a new layer (saved)
New layer "free"download trapeze, and removed the catchee. Placed the squirrel in the correct position, and tidied up with the erase tool

" Uuuhhhh....I think I ate too much"

WWYD # 112 AFTER

used a section tool for the eyes and a pinch warping tool, used a selection tool for the belly with a punch warp tool. Then I cloned some of the seeds to be in front of him too.

squirrel line dancing

3584187542_b3e5e2587f_o

i had no idea where i would end up with this.......the original thought was a high five, but the highlights wouldn't match up....

anyway, selected squirrel and warped to my heart's content..duplicated it...selected the green area, coped, pasted, and blurred til it filled the frame......made a dance floor out of a big green block...found a leaf and an acorn on the web.......pasted, copied, pasted some more untill i had as many leaves as i wanted......simulated the acorn fall by duplicating a couple of times......adding motion blur and fussing them about with the transform tool until i thought it made a plausible arcing fall......added in shadows on the floor beneath the objects....added shadows to the critters so it kinda looked like one was blocking some of the light from the left off the other one.......thought they needed a gleam in their eyes by painting a white dot over them and then cut out chunks of it so it would fit the contours.....

It took some time to come up with something but at last I noticed that the squirrels back was kinda flat, like if it was held down.

I found a nice picture of the tape with google, inserted it with some masking, dodged it at the top and burned it at the bottom. Then used liquify on the eye to make it look terrified a bit. Found children running through google too. Just added them in background and then used gaussian blur on it. Poor squirrel..
