Default What Would You Do (#22)

Wow, nobody even reminded me that I'm 2 days late with putting this thread up. Anyways, I'm pretty busy with some real life stuff at the moment, so I'll refer you back to WWYD 21 if you're not familiar with the rules

Here's this week's picture from Shazzt

Nicole, I was getting to the point where I thought of sending you a pm, but...

GOAL: Make it look abstract and textured.

What I did (in PSP XI):
-Crop
-Desaturated 91%
-Unsharp mask (radius 75, strength 30)
-Histogram midtones adjustment (-50)
-Colorized
-3 distortion effects applied: spiky halo, fish-eye distortion, and twirl

What you would do #22

Default What would you do ?

Well here is what I d1522244153_5ae4d0e7ebid

Lets see if i can remember cause i did a lot of steps. Well first I used the displacment effect and set the limits to upper left (i think or it might have been right) I then mirrored the image and then went back into effects and created a circle with the repeat selection. I then used the pick tool and streched the image out until all i could see were the one image and then cropped it down. Next I played with the saturation but it wasnt bold enough for me so I used the virtual photographer plug in and set it to Fast process which gave it a deeper green. Added some borders to it and here ya go!

fordigitalphotography school what would you do

I duplicated and mirrored the flower, and then I used Lucas Arts Kimpt and Sculpture, and Nik Selective Brightness and Warmth, and then made a quick blurred frame around it which I duplicated several times using different blending modes.

Think "painting," and start with a crop for a more detailed look, and a flip for better lighting direction.

Add a negative layer, bringing emphasis onto light fluff.

Add a Lighten layer, 50%. Erase all but area under bloom, so detail shows.

Add vignette mask, Center out, Dark to Light.

Add Drop Shadow.
