Straightforward focus on the play, and player:

WWYD21X

Crop is used to lessen unnecessary surroundings.
Unsaturated B/W copy layer is used to bring separation of dark uniform against dark seating, set to Lighten mode.
Vignette added to further feature player.

cropped....adjusted levels....tweaked the yellows.....brought up the shadows.....usm....

Probably not very original:

1. cropped.
2. new layer, dropper the main colour, fill and select inverse colour; soft light blending and reduce opacity.
3. lasso and apply motion blur.
