Rules are simple, edit the image anyway that you see fit. Remember, to post the steps you took to acheive your final product. This challenge is as much about learning as it is about sharing with others so that they may learn.

Now, let's see what you would do!

teedle, forgive me for what I did..............I'm working in a gallery today and bored and tired. So, my mind is drifting off in wierd directions
First I used the rotatingmirror effect and moved the directional arund until I liked what I had. This was done on a second layer. Next I moved the bottom ayer down so the eyes lined up yo an area I liked and then erased those areas n the 2nd layer.Added some borders and used the pick tool to add the lil marching ants around it. Used the pattern set on random until I found what I liked and then used the insdie bevel to make it look like a frame. Next, used a tube and placed the wing in a spot where I liked and reshaped it Added a drop shadow and erased parts so it looked like it was underneath the body. Duplicated that on the other side. Used the pick took to trace areas around her shoulder and added a drop shadow to seperate her body from the wings.
Over sharpened and then applied Niks Color Effex-Monday morning violet. merged all layers. And here you have all my wierdness

Umm... don't take this the wrong way but... I'm just a little disturbed looking at your version.

Here is my try.

Started of by using the curves to lighten it up some. I used a skin smoother to smooth up her face alittle. I use the dodge tool set to hightlights on about 8% opacity and dodge her eyes to lighten them up somemore. I added a new layer and made some texture/swirls and then added a layer mask to it and painted with a black brush over her body so it would erase the textures/swirls off of her. I then flattened and the duplaicated made the background layer black and white and made the color image smaller and added a small black border around the color image. oh then clicked on the black and white layer I put a motion blur. flattened it again and then save it.

Wind, that is great. That's what this is all about. Weird may'be, but it's what one can do with the tools you have. Douglas

I had some fun with this

1.Copied the right side of face; flipped over
2.Used masking to have image blend better with background
3.Used the clone tool to remove obvious signs of symmetry
4.Selected face and hair and used the “shadows and highlights” tool until face was the way I wanted it
5.Removed highlights from teeth
6.Used layer mask to bring back original bangs to cover the symmetry line
