Ok, here's my real quickie....

Duplicated layer, masked out all but wings in each layer, rotated each wing set until they touched and looked like lips, colorized, used lasso tool with feathering to select outer areas, filled with black, reduced opacity to 40 %, flattened image.

Just a really quick one. I'm not happy with shade i made the bird but ah well.

bird1

I cut the bird out, found a stock photo, cropped the stock photo, boosted the colours of the stock photo, placed the bird into a good location on the stock photo. I then made the bird a smart object and shrunk and rotated it. I then used a levels adjustment to make the bird look more silhouetted and then a brightness and contrast adjustment for that little bit extra shadow.

First I split the image to rgb (to use later as a mask) and chose the blue channel as that had the most contrast. Using levels played with the sliders until the image was 100% black and white. Next I took the color image and pasted anew sky in as a new layer. Now, I went to layers, mask, from current image and chose the blue channel image for my mask. I now have a bird on a new sky. Keeping the bird image highlighted I used the fractalious filter on it twice and then used the warp tool set to push to reshape the bird. Merged images and destaurated. Added lightning and boosted the contrast. then pasted into a premade frame

Default Bird Rainbow Sky

Started by doing the first three steps from the following tutorial: http://www.melissaclifton.com/tutorial-comicbook.html

After using the path/stroke method to outline the bird, I started using the brush tool to touch up the outline and to fill in some various colours. I'm no artist, so I just sort of used shades which I thought help to give an abstract type of look to the bird. Then I created a new image, applied a graidient fill, then dragged the bird line art over to the new image.

My apologies if I have not gone through the proper procedure for posting this image.

POOR ffishy...he jumped out of the water to escape the shark

help

ONLY to find THIS!

birdfish2jpg

Didn't do much. Copied the fish from a previous WWYD, scaled him to fit into the birds beak. rotated him and pasted him in. I'll try something else too. Douglas
