Goal - As seen in the corner of an antique shop

What I did:

A high pass (2.2 radius) style sharpen using hard light with about 80% opacity
Then an orange color overlay on lighten blen, with 22% opacity
Then a pattern fill, with a sort of cross hatch pattern overlayed on all that.
A couple quick "burns" on the highlights on the bottom...maybe should have done a bit more with that...

Oh well.

Here's my take:
WWYD 17
- High contrast adjustment.
- Sepia toning.
- Paint black border on new layer.
- Gaussian blur border.
- Lower opacity on border layer.

Hi folks, first post here and let me say what an awesome forum to stumble across with what seems a great community.

So here's what I did:

I layered the image over the background with blend mode set to soft light, gaussian blur set to 4.9.

Then I added a curves adj. layer to help warm up the tone of the wooden vase and the image in general; I pulled the red curve up slightly and the blue curve down slightly.

I added a brightness adj. layer for the whole image.

Lastly, I dodged the shadows in the center just a bit to get rid of the dark spot.

Hope y'all like it.

Welcome! Glad to see you participating in these threads, we always love to see what people can do with the pictures. Hope you keep participating in the WWYD threads and even consider adding your own picture to the series (see the first post of any WWYD thread for how to do that).

Nicole...you ever think that our little idea would still be going this long. Going on its fifth month......!!!!!
I want to say to all who have supplied the canvas for us to make our own art THank you.
The photos have not been ones that are so bad they even needed post processing on. Some have been really nice as they are in their original state.
Thanks again everyone for participating and also thank you Nicole for the trouble you go through each week to keep this alive.
