Default "Once Upon a Time . . . "

A New Challenge - just what we need to slow down Share Your Shots!

- Post two (2) photographs that illustrate a short story you've created in your imagination.

- The Challenge? Use only one sentence under each photograph to tell that story.

- Take the photos, or make them. I set up mine using props, even borrowed the background of Broadway for the first one.

- Try to use newly-shot images as much as possible, so you can gain experience setting up a shot from scratch.

An example:

Penelope

Penelope2

Penelope3

Penelope4

Everyone has a story in them. Tell us yours . . .

GwenieThePooh,
genielamb,
DameAgs,
Ali QJo,

Thanks for the positive outlooks - honestly, I wasn't sure how the idea might seem to others. But what a natural process, either way: think of a story, add pictures, or look at pictures, add words. Post as many times as you want, and the guidelines are flexible.

Last year, leafyfingers and I discussed a possible longer version of the 5 and 6 Word Story games, making it a Challenge between just two members at a time, three lines of story at a time. Logistically, a tough proposition.

If this works out, what would you all think about trying later to make it into a continuing story - like the Word Game, but with two photos and two sentences?

Default Once upon a time...........

pensive

there was a grandma who discovered a new hobby, PHOTOGRAPHY, and a wonderful place to have fun with her lovely new hobby, but after a time, she became saddened, for no one really seemed to respond to her or her (admittedly) mediocre photos.......................sigh

But then, one day, a kind person made a comment on a photo, and then the kind person became a friend, and more people began to respond and more people became friends, and suddenly, life was good again, very good.....the end!

Me, myself and I

It is not very creative, but a true story...and I have not mastered layers, or the combining of files........so, rather than wait til some misty day in the future, I have made my first attempt........and no, I do not have deplorable taste in hats...this was a hat I created for Hallowe'en!!!

DameAgs,

A true Cinderella story, with leafy tiara! Sad at first, too many new members are left feeling that way. Your story is made more beautiful by the photos showing - beauty! Great work, thanks for meeting the challenge!
