Of course. I guess I just was picturing more "big" city type photos. I'm not too far from Chicago so I guess I was just projecting my previous desire to go there and shoot something very different from the cornfields and trees that I've been doing. :-) You are right and I'm sure I will enjoy my small city field trip. It's actually my home town about 25 miles away, which I really never have photographed. I may go elsewhere, but at least there I have some ideas what to shoot and won't get lost. ;-) Thanks!

Some of the neatest "cities" that I have been through have been nothing more than a compacted area that has maybe a place to eat, a farmers Co-op, a post office and sometimes a grocery store.
When you live every day like some people Ive met, on a farm where your nearest neighbor might be a mile or two down the road, That little group of buildings becomes an important social center in their lives.
so, dont make the mistake of thinking a city has to be a billion acres of crowded buildings with wall to wall people.

My wife loves boxes. Especially puzzle boxes. This one has a little monk carved into the side.

Default New theme from Sunday

Just a reminder that the theme changes from this Sunday (5th) to the new theme "In the City" (I can hear the sighs of relief from everyone now that the dreaded "Wisdom" theme has finished).

For this theme - city can be interpreted as a city, town, urban or any area with a few man made structures and people ! Understood that some people will not have access to city or town areas on a daily basis, so even rural areas like villages can be considered
