Something about this image struck me as a great setup for a watercolor painting - so I went in that direction:
![]() PP in Photoshop CS4: Adjusted exposure with an Exposure layer Increased contrast with using custom levels and curves Adjusted color saturation and balance to bring out the natural colors of the image Added texture layer - water color paper Added frame

wow guys, super wonderful edits here. I found this image a really tough one and thanks to you all it holds interest again, so I had yet another go at it. Simple steps, Topaz Simplify (buzz sim preset) and then Topaz Adjust but I forgot which preset

![]() I used GIMP. Auto white balance which made the sand dunes greenish inspiring a spring theme. I selected only the sky and made it a bit more blue. I selected the top edges of the hills and brightened them and added a little contrast Then I selected the sky again and added the Super Nova. Last edited by LindaOH; 03-31-2009 at 12:18 AM. |

![]() Copy layer first, change mode to multiply, merge, new copy, change mode to overlay, merge. Remove sky and replace with a self-made image. Make new copy, change mode to overlay and add layermask with circular fill. Merge and rescale. Edited with Gimp.
