Default what I did do

I thought the pancakes looked less appetizing than they should and since I couldn't add steam and dramatic lighting I instead dialed down the detail and turned up the vibrancy.

First I warmed up the tones with RGB adjustments, then hit it with a radial waves filter, then oil painting filter, finishing with posterizing. I use ACDsee for my post processing as my corel photopaint is just too big for me. I've never worked with photoshop. I like the simple, yet powerful, interface of ACDsee.
It never occurred to me to turn this into a picture of something else as I see other posters doing, LOL, but hey, if I wanted a picture of something else I'd take a different picture! I think this food is now pretty enough to grace an ad.

WWYD90x_2 - some more please

duplicated crepes twice, then treated with Topaz Adjust for contrast, and Filter Forge (metallic) masked background so that only the crepes looked unreal

I know this thread will remain opened but the next is already started and I would like to tell how much I like the processed photos. They are amazing!

Even if someone is "not feeling too creative" in a morning, the result is fantastic. I like the revival of colours. Maybe the result is more an abstract painting or a flower in shape, I appreciate these pieces of contemporary/modern art.

Pancakes/crépes are promising a great meal on the others. The highscore of 25 layers was worth making so realistic cherries and syrup. It is a great exmaple why I should go beyond my usual 3-4 layers. Wow! The heavenly rays remind me how children can focus on sweets The golden stack is not that unreal since desserts were sometimes covered with gold during medieval feast to show the wealth of the host.

Oh, and the nest was something creative I did not expect at all.

Sorry if I did not mention someone before or here... I like all of them, thanks.
