Going for a star shower look!

Duplicated background, increased midtones in duplicate until some detail was showing in the lower half of picture, masked out sky in duplicate layer so original sky was showing, merged two layers together, opened a colorful texture layer and turned to Overlay mode, masked out lower portion of picture, opened star streak as layer and masked out a portion of the bottom, flattened image and cropped.

Default Infra feeling

Maybe this would be in infra-red. Processing: rescale, double layer, level adjustment (by screen with itself), change opacity with grayscale copy on layermask, subtract this from original, merge all, grayscale, change color toward blue with less saturation. Software: Gimp.

Default What Would You Do (#86)

Hi All
My first WWYD post. I hope I haven't broken any of the rules of the group with my choice of post-processing software. Apologies in advance if I have!

I used Windows Live Photo Gallery (sad eh!) to change the lighting & cropped the sky to highlight the colours.
Then used Bryce 6 to bring the picture into a photo "studio" to showcase the photo.
cheers
Brad

Same steps as first version, but this time added a fantasy sky for fun.
How did you do the sky in the second photo, its really pretty. What program are you using ?

Its cute, and a very creative way to show a photo, I would have never thought of doing that!

In CS4 altered WB. Duplicated layer, increased saturation, reduced opacity to 30%. Tone-mapped in Topaz Adjust. In Lightroom reduced saturation of blue in sky and replaced with slight green hue, then decreased exposure for a stormy look.

Vegastar, the sky is from a painting. I simply selected the sky area (feathered at about 110), and then cloned from the image of the painting. I then went in with a very small brush and smoothed in the areas that needed it.

Program: Paint Shop Pro Photo X2 (just got the Ultimate version but haven't installed it yet)

Hope that helps! If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.
