Just a quick one. I added the picture to one of the solar system from the NASA site. I selected the earth, moon and nearest planet in individual layers. Then I used the wind filter on each one. I did a free transform on each layer to give the feel of what the wind direction would be if the earth were to suddenly spin out of control, affecting the planets closest to it.

Global Warming, planet in peril..
1. Applied an orange diamond gradient fill mask to the background. 2. Adjusted the hue and saturation of Earth Not very creative, but relevant.

When I first saw the picture of the earth... I thought of the picture from National Geographic where you are drawn into the eyes of the woman. I messed with that picture a little but I like this one better.
I used photoshop to isolate the original eyes and inverted the color so that it was close to the blue of the earth shot. Then I transformed the earth to fit roughly the size of the eyes. I used the magic wand to select all of the black on the original image layer and deleted the earth that fell into that part on the earth layer. Finally, I changed the opacity to 60% on the earth layer and set mode to Vivid Light. *I'm new to this and don't have a flickr account yet... so I will attach like this for now* Last edited by dhphoto; 01-13-2009 at 05:57 AM. |

here is the link to the thread I referred to earlier. This to me is a prime example of a great way to use the picture given in this wwyd challenge. Granted he 'made' his world BUT he could have used the image supplied.

Loved the cat. I was hesitant to post due to the 2 earlier picture mixing the earth with eyes... but, for my first post to the forums... I guess I can't be to unique... right?
