You realize that Digidave doesn't have to be the only one to post an album challenge.

I know, I know! I simply had to give up on it because of time constraints.

This past year, the company I work for was put up for sale. So, we as employees, decided to buy the place to take back control of our own destiny. Now, for the most part, I was just another peon like everyone else. Go to work, put in my 8 hours & go home. Then I decided that I wanted into the "Inner Circle" as it were. I wanted some say in what happens around there. So, to make a long story short, I am now THE guy that everyone runs to with questions & concerns about the future of the company. Kind of like the "Go-Between Guy". You know, the guy that can walk into the president of the company office & sit down for a chat but doesn't have to wear a tie. I just wanted to express my opinions! I didn't think anybody would listen! Now, being the Capricorn that I am, I dove in head first & I am now on a boat load of committees to help improve the company & it's employee benefits. Lucky me, huh! Not only do I put in my 8 hrs. on the job, when I get home I spend at least a couple hrs. researching various things.

So, in the end, I had to prioritize my time. It has been a little over a year now & things have been running a little smoother. I can't make any promises but I'll see if I can fit it into my schedule. Let me check my Rolodex. I'm even starting to sound like a "Suit"!!

New Years Resolutions:

1) Get back to my Rock 'n' Roll Roots

2) Stick it to "The MAN"! Oh wait! I'm part of the system now!

3) Take more Photos

Digidave,

After chatting with leafyfingers, I'm wondering how would it work out if you two got together on this and split the effort: one do the photo(s), the other research the group? Or however you wanted to work it?

How about running it like the WWYD threads? Anyone who is interested submits a suggested album, critique (copied from Wikipaedia et al if you like) and album cover to Dave. He selects the most interesting one (to him obviously, I appreciate that not reveryone likes/undestand Camembert Electrique - Gong) and posts it. But maybe call it Classic Albums to widen the appeal. Why not try "Songs for Swinging Lovers" or even "Four Last Songs" by Richard Strauss. I would love to see interpretations of "Frühling"

In dusky valleys
I dreamt long
of your trees and blue skies,
of your scent and birdsong.

Now you appear
in all your finery,
shining brilliantly
like a miracle before me.

You recognize me,
you tenderly embrace me;
all my limbs tremble at
your glorious presence!

If it works for WWYD it could work here, and be a lot less work for Dave apart from posting the occasional "The lists getting short give me some albums"

Nathan,

Just as I'm about to say "Great imagination," I see it's all too real:
