Square crop. Simple, but I think it balances the two main elements, the cat and the basketball hoop, on a diagonal.

First I did a curves adjustments to darken the image.
Then I applied an action to increase the green tones in the image.
Then I increased the saturation & contrast.
I cropped it to get rid of the the cat in the bottom right corner.

I ran through photomatix hdr at just about auto settings, a little temperature tweak in photoshop then moved cat .. was going to do something with rope but thought that might be a bit cruel!

I cropped it to make the hoop and the cat more in focus of the photograph, and then I adjusted with "Topaz Adjust" using the "psychedelic" setting not adjusting anything else in there, and then I used the quick select tool to select the cat and created the kitty as a separate layer and then adjusted the color curves for the fun of it Oh, and then I threw a scalloped mess (err, I mean edge) around it
See!

Using the selection tool I drew around the cat. Promoted it to a raster layer and moved it and made it bigger. Cropped image. Duplicate and added fractalious plug in. Erased all areas except the cat. Merged. Duplicate destaurated top image and then erased around the basketball hoop and cat to keep them bright. Merged. Applied Mura Mesiters plug in seamless tiling. Done
what would you do?

This is my attempt. I just increased contrast, decreased brightness a tad. Cropped out the kitty. Then I boosted the colours to some extent
