Default What Would You Do (#77)

A frequent participant in our WWYD threads, both for sharing her photos for us to edit and showing us the many ways she can edit other people's photos, this week's photo comes from windrider86.

As usual, the rules are simple. Use the photo in this post, edit it, come back, and show us what you did and tell us how you did it. Easy as that!

If you want your photo to be featured in one of our WWYD threads, just drop me a PM with a link to the medium and large versions of your photo.

Now, let's see what you would do!

Not much a tree anymore but then again, that was my problem with it in the first place. First I made a border around the whole thing and cloned in areas along the sides to expand the bottom part of the image. Applied Nik Effects plugin, midnight sepia for the color and then used fm sampler plugin to make a new effect, changed blend mode to overlay and merged layers. Then used the Kalidescope effect and came up with this. Dont know what it would be good for but I think it was a neat design

Okay, like this is so weird. I was going to do exact same thing going one step further to then make the image a "negative" of itself. Voila! Great minds think alike!

BTW, this is just beautiful, windrider. Your black version looks like a spanish mantilla (head covering to wear in church).

Forgive me, windrider, I was just joking. You're just using features I've never heard of. I changed my post, btw, so feel free to delete this one as well if you wish.

No worries at all. Love the blue version, reminds me of something that would go on a Christmas card!

Default WWYD, Winterized

So why not just go with my current state of mind? Cloned out the log at bottom. Mirror imaged, then:

WWYD77

- Turned into a negative (or "inverted")
- Added dark vignette
- Contrasted, brightened

Jiminy, I love the sky in this, now if we could just do the whole thing in that color scheme.

Well, you know me, I like my collages, so here's one. I got the images for the large daisies, the bushes, and the birds at www.sxc.hu, a free stock photography website. Then I just removed their backgrounds, pasted them in, resized and rearranged, and tried to sharpen them to match the original. I realize now I meant to put a warming filter over the whole thing but forgot to do it. Oh well. The only other thing I did was to up hue/saturation a little and to apply the 'reduce noise' filter.
