It was then that Fido's owner realized that the head transplant had been a terrible mistake...

Snowy couple - http://digital-photography-school.co...&postcount=448

"Hah! Wait till they try to straighten the horizon on this one!"

"Well, Alice, I'm sorry. It's a guy thing. You'll just have to go behind a tree . . ."

"Yeah, I'm calling the Park Ranger, but I told you not to stick your tongue to that frozen tree!"

The 80's menswear catalogue model and the armless girl seemed an odd couple at first...

Default Dog, then Penguin

Dog - http://digital-photography-school.co...&postcount=450

"CAN OPENER!!!"

"Oh, yeah? I don't see your name on it! It's MY chair now!"

"My bat sonar says you have a treat in your pocket . . . "

Penguin - Caption my photo!

"Hello? Hello, Mr Cousteau? I'm out of film, Sir."

"Oh look, I have a hole in my tuxedo trousers."

"Hunh. I'm rusting."

I'll repost the guidelines, which sort of got pieced together over many months of trial-and-error.

Default Guidelines for Captioning

Edit: Although this is a game, it also serves as a platform for your photographic work. Please submit only images you shot, not something from the web or other source.

(1) When a new photograph is posted, the clock starts. The next 24 hours belong to that poster.

(2) Feel free to post captions for that photo, and any previous ones that inspire you.

(3) The first person to caption the new photograph earns the right to post the next photo.

(4) If you're first and intend to post a new photo, please have one ready. It really slows down the game if everyone is waiting for a new photo.
.....After another 24 hours, if you haven't posted a new photo, it's open to anyone.

(5) If you're first, and know you won't have one to post after that 24-hour period expires, please type "PASS" below your last caption line.

(6) If "PASS" is chosen, everyone please check date and time above the last photo. 24 hours from that time, anyone may then post the next photo.

(7) Ties for caption-posting will be determined by your Join Date - newest member wins.

---------------------------------------------- Captioning ----------------------------------------------------

If you click on the Post number of the photo you are captioning, and copy/paste the web address as a link, instead of "Quoting" the photo each time, each page will load faster. This is Post #460 (upper righthand corner of the message box), and here's its link:

Caption my photo!

After looking over 46 pages of previous play, this is the fairest way I could see to assure smoother play and settle any posting issues. Often 5 to 10 days go by without a post, sometimes because a new member doesn't know what the rules are. I hope this works out for everyone.

So, if 48 hours have passed after a photo is posted, and there is no new photo, it's Your Turn!

(This timing applies to the last photo posted legitimately.)
