I thought to make something surreal because I felt high contrast between costumes and the forest.
![]() The original layer was duplicated and desaturated (by brightness). The original was divided by the second. New layer was created with a copy and Gaussian blur (5x5) was applied. Layermask was added and used to clear blur around the head (gradient+manual). Original and modified layers were merged with 90% opacity. Software: Gimp

![]() using Photoshop: - Used a LucisArt filter to sculpt the image. - copied original image on top and set mode to color to fix color shift in lucisart - created a channel mixer adjustment layer set to monochrome, upped the red, lowered the blue. Set opacity to ~75% to allow a bit of original color back in - masked out the hair of both girls - added a solid color adjustment layer set to a dark brownish color, masked out the hair again, and lowered the opacity to ~30% |

![]() See her larger my take on it included flipping her stance, deleting everything in the background, layering multiples of her skirt at varying sizes to give her a long flowing one, and making her a pretty fairy. The hair color just made me thingk fairy! Then I continued layering her with a stock forest photo, some fog, and additional texture. After a long week, this was good therapy! Thanks for the fun, peeper!
