This was a really fun one, Nicole!

What you would do #70 (edit)

What I did (in PSP Photo X2):
-Curves adjustment (brightness and RGB)
-Noise removal
-Crop square
-Saturation +2
-Brush strokes filter

Alll right then, here is my version
what would you do
Duplicate layer and played with levels to brighten up flower. Added texture and changed blend mode to overlay and lowered opacity. Erased a bit around flower. Added another texture for the frame and erased around areas I wanted to stand out more. Added the tag and erased parts of the string and added a drop shadow. Added text and rotated to fit. Used drop tool to make the letters the same color as the tag. The babies in the tulips were tubes and then added a drop shadow. Merged

WWYD #70

What I was going for was to make the petals look a bit translucent without making them look freakish. I may have gone a bit too far.

Aperture:

Autolevels
A little more exposure
Some black point
LOTS of vibrancy, a little less saturation to keep the colors from getting over saturated.
LOTS of highlights, some shadows to keep things from getting fluorescent.
I used 2 color selections to move the greens around, one for purple and the rest for reds.
Use the repair tool to remove a few blemishes on the flower.

Doesn't look freakish to me, baldmountain. Looks like the sun was hitting the petals
