Default What Would You Do (#69)

This week's WWYD is from new member devnulluk who took this photo at a harvest festival.

Available Larger

The rules for WWYD are simple. Use the picture in this post, edit it, then come back and show us what you did along with telling us how you did it. Easy as that. The minimum level of skill required is opening this thread.

If you'd like your picture to be the focus of one of these WWYD threads, simply drop me a PM with a link to the medium and large version of the photo. Easy as that!

Now, let's see what you would do!

Well, this was all ready a great image so trying to find a way to improve it wasnt easy. First thing I did as always is to duplicate the image. desaturate. Then added in all the new images on seperate layers. Used the background eraser tool to erase around the edges of images and fine tuned with the eraser tool. sized and lowered opacity to my liking. Created the frame by using AAA Foto Frame plug in. Lighting was created by used Alien Skin plug in as well as the fire trail. Lastly cloned a bit of red color into the black area on the right.
what would you do

Default International House of Pi (ablaze)

Odd shapes and fire are intriguing, so I used the abstract look to make a new image.

Original is nearly untouched. Four copies are manipulated:

- The basic arrangement below was created by flipping copies horizontally and vertically.
- The image formed in the center was enlarged, copied, pasted, made into a serpent's head.
- Blue tongue was drawn in, minor sparks cloned away.

Title is not a typo: symbol for pi appears in image several places.

What Would You Do #69

Inverted Layer
Rotated Canvas
Increased Contrast with Curves
Polar Coordinates
Watercolor Filter
Sharpened
Added a simple frame

I had no plan, but I really like the way it came out. It would look great hanging in my living room.

Cool Quick fix

*Duplicated image in new layer
*Added Zoom Radial Blur
*Added new layer with blue color opacity
*Added new layer with purple hue opacity
-Added layer mask and masked out the fire to show blue.

Default Wwyd #69

Hi there, I am a first time participant in WWYD.
First I masked out the fire and did a shadow enhancement, about 44%, then
I masked out the silhouettes, and blurred the background. I think it gives the image a little more appeal, without detracting from the original intention of the artist.
Let me know what you think.

Andrew
