Oh what a lovely thing to do

Without DPS (& flickr for that matter) I probably would have given up photography a long time ago. I love it, but need the extra help, reassurance and general guidance that the daily blogs and forum provides. The feedback both on here and flickr is invaluable for guidance on how to improve things (I just wish more people were honest).

I'd like to enter. Thanks.

Default Count me in!

Obviously, I'm new to the forum. However, I love that people allow for fun photos as well as the more professional ones. People here are nice and helpful. I'm thoroughly enjoying this forum!

I like cake!

I am sorry. Not sure what I could say that wouldn't be a repeat of something that has been said often throughout this thread. DPS is a great resource with great members. Everyone can learn something by spending some time here. Even if you do a little research to help out someone else you will likely learn a little yourself in the process.

Full Disclosure:

I certainly do not need this for myself, but I have a student I have been helping out with some used gear and what time I can spare. If it is not OK to transfer gift to a young student in need I understand your position and you can remove my entry. No... the student is not a DPS member as they can neither afford a computer or internet access (I currently share access with him to one of my accounts). I understand if that is outside the "rules" of the contest and you can feel free to remove my name from the pool.

It is a generous donation by someone. Very nice.

Thanks to whomever donated this prize. I just have a few words of wisdom for everyone.

Did you really think I was going to say something intelligent!?

That is such a selfless gesture to do, which is exactly what I like about dPS. I've only been here a short while, but the nice folks here, amateur and pro alike, have helped me get SO much more out of my hobby.

THANKS dPS!!!

Default I've said it before and I'll say it again...

...Darren, all the Mods, and all the members are just AWESOME!

Someday when I grow up I want to be a photographer and I get closer and closer to that day everytime I log on to DPS.

Ok, so I've got the grown up part handled (mostly) it's the photography part I needed help with.

I've learned more here and made more "friends" then I ever thought I could.

I've even gotten the courage to open an online gallery and "store" in hopes of selling a few photos to help support my habit, and I have sold a few odds and ends. YEA!!

And I've submitted to Dreamstime (again) hopefully I'll get one accepted this time!

So thanks DPS and the awesome member who has donated this prize. You're all too kind.

Default I'm in, too!

Yes, count me in! I'd love a pro flickr account! What a wonderful and generous gesture. Perhaps this will set off a cascade of "pay it forward"...

I discovered DPS a few short months ago and have been addicted ever since. My free flickr account is busting at the seams and how I would love to have unlimited number of sets to help organize the mish-mash of photos I've uploaded since joining DPS.

I started on DPS with a P&S and no knowledge of camera settings, composition or technical know-how. I have come a long way in these past few months, thanks entirely to the helpful members of the DPS forum and the always informative DPS blog. I still have a long, long way to go before I dare call myself a "photographer" but I know DPS will help get me there and inspire me to grow beyond my limits and expectations. Thanks DPS for the journey, and thanks, too, to the anonymous donor of the pro flickr account.

throw my hat into the ring please, and thank you to whomever has offered the prize

There are lots of nice things to say about DPS, but if I had to say one thing that I appreciate over everything else, it's that when I discovered DPS I no longer felt alone.

Folks, you may not be 'real' in the sense that we can physically go on photo walks or whatever, but DPS is like Arnolds Diner in happy days, I love hanging out here
