I'd like to start this thread so we can know a little more where each of us live.
There are not many rules to this thread, only that any posted picture should come together with a short text/story explaning where was it taken, what is and any other thing you might like to mention. I'll post the first one:
This one was taken in Buenos Aires, in a new neighbourghood called Puerto Madero. Some 20 years ago, this place used to be an old harbour and now is one of the fanciest neighbourghoods in town. Currently is filled with turists from all over the world, but mainly Brazilian people (because is not that far away). Well, I think you like the idea of the thread. Looking forward to see some pictures from you |

I stayed in the Bentley College, in Cambridge. I cannot answer you privately because you have disabled that option. |

Here's a photograph taken of St. Catherine's Fortress, Tenby, South Wales, UK. (Ynys Catrin, Dinbych-y-Pysgod in Welsh). Originally it was a military fort, commissioned in 1867to defend the Welsh coast, but a tiny derelict chapel predates this. When the threat of invasion passed it then became a private retreat for wealthy Victorians and, at one point, a zoo. Now it stands neglected, with no public access, slowly rotting away into the sea.
