Default Where do you live? Why don't you show us...

I'd like to start this thread so we can know a little more where each of us live.

There are not many rules to this thread, only that any posted picture should come together with a short text/story explaning where was it taken, what is and any other thing you might like to mention.

I'll post the first one:

From Buenos Aires

This one was taken in Buenos Aires, in a new neighbourghood called Puerto Madero.

Some 20 years ago, this place used to be an old harbour and now is one of the fanciest neighbourghoods in town.
Currently is filled with turists from all over the world, but mainly Brazilian people (because is not that far away).

Well, I think you like the idea of the thread.

Looking forward to see some pictures from you

Default I live in Boston, MA-USA

Boston, MA

I live in one of the neighborhoods of Boston. I'm very happy to be a Bostonian and very much enjoy my city and have lived here my whole life. There are many places to photograph here and I'm beginning to find that out ....too bad the free time doesn't come with the desire. In Boston you will find people of all ethnicities and nationalities and a mix of the old and new architecture. There really is something for everyone.

dedgekko,

I stayed in the Bentley College, in Cambridge. I cannot answer you privately because you have disabled that option.

Default St. Catherine's Fortress

Here's a photograph taken of St. Catherine's Fortress, Tenby, South Wales, UK. (Ynys Catrin, Dinbych-y-Pysgod in Welsh). Originally it was a military fort, commissioned in 1867to defend the Welsh coast, but a tiny derelict chapel predates this. When the threat of invasion passed it then became a private retreat for wealthy Victorians and, at one point, a zoo. Now it stands neglected, with no public access, slowly rotting away into the sea.
