Favorite Album Art Photos

I love to see how album art reflects the actual music inside, especially when they're actual photographs as opposed to graphic design. So post your favorite album art photographs. Some digital enhancements are fine, I suppose.

I for one absolutely adore the cover of the album Kenotic by Hammock
They play instrumental/ambient/post-rockish stuff.


It's very delicate and kind of gives me chills when listening to it. Their song titles are also very fitting.

Also, the new Sigur Rós album has a very fitting title if you've listened to it. I won't show a picture for those shy of the back side of the male anatomy

If you're familiar with the album, I cannot think of a more perfectly fitting album cover then that.

It would be so hard to pick just one & this isn't really a photo but I just have always loved this cover.

It may not count since I know a lot of his photos are heavily manipulated, but I love Dave McKean's stuff, like the Stabbing Westward album (which is also in Option Click):


And some of his stuff that's much more in the graphics realm that's in the Counting Crows album, This Desert Life.

I love the surreal-ness of his work, and wish I could be that creative with my photography.

I dunno why, but I always had a thing for Kinski's Alpine Static (although musically I prefer their record "Airs Above Your Station", great post-rock as well!).
