Default First Try...

I'm feeling brave & decided to try editing this picture...

In the first, here's what I did:
~Duplicated Image
~Brightened the image by adjusting the levels
~Posterized the image with 3 levels
~Flattened image

In the second picture, it took a bit more work...
~Duplicated original Image
~Brightened it by adjusting the levels
~Duplicated the adjusted image
~Used the gradient map to put a blue-ish spin on the first layer of picture (since this was the bottom layer, only bits of that blue actually show through)
~Used a vintage, retro action on the top layer
~Used the eraser tool (with music shapes) so you can actually 'see' the music
~Flattened the image

I'm sure they're not nearly as good as some of the others I've seen, but I just wanted you thank you all for the inspiration & creativity - you definitely inspired me to have some fun in Photoshop as well!

Thank you . oh yea, I forgot to include the steps...ok, so heres what I did.

Adjusted levels
Filter - Lens Blur (background only)
Adjust Brightness/contrast
Adjusted curves (red-ish)
layered with text font
Burned some areas

and ta-da! hehe =)
