Default what a plug in can do

here is my quick edit

assignment

photoshop: duplicate layer, curves to lighten, neat image plug-in to reduce noise, layer mask edit to show parts of the original

Posted the above edit too quickly as I had to rush out the door. It nagged at me because I left it half done so I when I got back I added a few finishing touches to make it look more like a painting on canvas.

_assignment-complete

My attempt:

1) Duplicated Background Layer
2) Glowing Edges Filter to Duplicate Layer
3) Layer Mask, Selected and "erased" monitors from the mask
4) Various selections, copy & paste operations, and resizing.

Here's my rendition of ol' Tim. After trying many different things, I decided to try a "poster" or "flyer" feel. Did it work?

I unsharped, changed levels, curves, perspective on the smaller screen to make the duplicate images, which I colorized, desaturated and flipped for the ghosted image on the left. And I added text. It was fun.
