![]() I have been learning how to do OOB this last week and thought that this might be a good candidate for a challenge. !. Decided on which deer would be OOB. Then made 3 copies of the background 2. Used the Magnetic Lasso Tool on each of the 3 Deer I wanted to select and made a copy from LAYER > New > Layer via Copy. 3. Made 3 Frame layers LAYER > New, and named them 1-3 4. Used the Marquee Tool for the frames and filled with white then went SELECT>MODIFY>CONTENT and set it to 25% for the frame. Then selected one of the backgrounds and hit DELETE this will leave just the frame. 6. After all frames were done in there own layer. The following was done to all frames. SELECT a frame LAYER. SELECT>Image>Transform>Distort and tilt or move the frame. 7. Added a New layer for each frame shadow also lightened the contrast and used Gaussian Blur on the shadows. 8. Made a new layer for the background color And filled with WHITE. For those of you that want to try OOB this is one of the best Tutorial I have found on this process. http://www.pixeladdiction.com/bb/art...artid=3&page=1 Enjoy.....

It was excellent luck that this photo could work so well for you to practice and learn on.
So, will you be sharing your new tips, tricks and shortcuts in a tutorial type thread at some point?

windrider86, that is wild!! I really like it.
Firemaine, excellent OOB work!! First I want to say that this is already a great shot...nicely exposed, good color, etc. I decided to go the monochrome route, but with a twist. As I started playing with histogram sliders I found the front deer to be turning white. I decided to leave it that way and pretend it is a White Stag, like that in Narnia or something. ![]() What I did (in PSP Photo XI): -Desaturated 100% -Unsharp mask (radius 75, strength 20) -Histogram Midtones adjustment (-30) -Time Machine filter: Platinum -Shadows/Highlights adjustment -Duplicated layer -Top layer: another Histogram Midtones adjustment (-15) -Top layer: erased sky, trees and all other deer except the "White Stag" -Merged 2 layers
