I thought this might be a good idea for a thread.
Go to Lightroom or your photo catalogue software etc. and post the earliest photo you find in there from the earliest catalogue. We'll go for catalogues because we probably all have photos from when we were kids or from phones etc that don't really count. I was expecting something like my bedroom floor, but it's not as bad as I thought: 16/06/2003 on route to work in the states ![]() Earliest Photo in Lightroom by C-17, on Flickr

Taken on or around my daughter's first birthday, so I'd had my camera for about a month or so. Used a beat to shit SB-25 (that has since bit the dust) I found on eBay.

I almost didn't want to post after seeing the other ones on here for firsts lol
. This isn't my very first, but I don't think I started keeping track of photos for the first few days, so they're long gone. This is the earliest photo I have, it was taken in South Korea back in my military days during a unit vs unit volleyball game. I can't believe how bad I was back then "compared to how mediocre I suck now ;p"

First digital photo, taken near Leipers Fork Tennessee in Nov. 2001 with a Kodak DC210 Zoom digital point and shoot that I got with a Gateway computer. Not a great photo but a lot of good memories of a beautiful day with my wife, daughter and her boyfried (now husband)

This is the oldest pic I could find on file. It was taken 20 years ago at the Brooklyn Army Base, with a Nikon FM2 film camera. I developed and printed it myself. I was shooting for 15 years before that, but don't have any of those scanned.

It's not my first photo, but it's the earliest one I could find. It was taken way back when--digital photography was just an idea in somebody's mind.

This is my oldest photo I can find on file. It was taken with a Kodak Instamatic that my Dad had given me. It must have been about the mid '80s, I guess I was about 13-14 yrs old. My little brother is the kid on the right. The two blondies are my cousins. We were staying at their place in the Taranaki for a family holiday.
![]() I'm pretty sure the print looks better than the scan.
