Default WWYD Revival

I haven't seen a "What would you do?" challenge for a bit, so I thought I would throw one out there.....

Here is the image I would love to see what people come up with.

I always enjoyed the WWYD threads, so I'll join in with my edit. I hope they continue.

Untitled-1

So, this was my edit. I mostly used Color Efex 4 on it. I was a bit inspired by the warm colours that were coming through in the sunset on the original, so I started there. I cropped it first then cloned out the tree branch that was left. Then into Color Efex. I added several filters: Brilliance / Vibrance, Detail Extractor, Sunshine, Pro Contrast, and Darken and Lighten Center. Then I went back into Photoshop and masked out a few areas quickly. I increased the vibrance again on the sky (I love saturated skies, so if that's not your thing, that's fine) but masked out the couple. Then I decreased the vibrance and painted over the couple to get rid of the fact that things had gone a bit too orange during the process. Then one last run through Dfine to get rid of the noise and here we are.

I thought i would give this a try. I use Photoshop Elements but usually only to crop and adjust levels and saturation because that is all I am comfortable with at this time. But here goes... I started with a crop, then adjusted the levels. Next I adjusted the hue and saturation and lightness of the sky. Then selected the inverse of the couple and applied the artistic filter, poster edges just to see what it would do. I kind of like the effect.

I love these WWYD's!

For this, I brightened it, turned up the Shadows meter, then turned up the Saturation and Temperature. Then I gave it some more Clarity and Sharpness, and gave it a crop to remove the trees on both sides, and to make the picture look more closer-up.
Lastly, I gave it a little vignette on the edges.

Thanks for doing this, scootermcq... I had fun with it!

Thanks!

I didn't put my train-of-thought out there on the post... so here it is:

All LightRoom3.
All about those clouds! The couple, being in white, will automatically be the first thing the eye goes to in the frame, so I played a bit with Sat/Vibrance, went into lumination and toned up the greens a bit to keep the murkymonster out.... left that tree in as it adds scale to the image, really gives you a sense of that hill, and also keeps the framing oriented strait. Took down the oranges/reds/yellows in saturation sliders since bumping the sat/vib put a bit too much skin tone into the couple...but since there was very little of those colors in the rest of the image, it was easy to just mute them a bit to get a more natural skin tone. Lastly- I left the image a bit dark...it's sunset. There's a flash. They're well lit, the sky doesn't have to be.

Ok that was a long train. Sorry for those stopped at the tracks hahaha.
