Default Edit of the Week -ends

I am sorry it must end. I am not getting any new pictures for edits. The last few have been my pictures, those who have been reading the exif data know this.

Anyway I just cant come up with more stuff to edit. HOWEVER if I do get edits at tneubauer@thomasneubauer.com I will start again.

Thanks to every one who participated in the editing end of it all.

Maybe no one sent you pictures because they didn't want to send them in an e-mail, where you can see their e-mail address.
I think how they did it for WWYD was, people sent the link to their pictures (on Flickr) to the moderator through a Private Message here on DPS. Maybe if you try it that way, you'll get some more pictures? I would send you some if I can do it that way.

Flickr does me no good. IE - no right click to save file. Flickr is utterly worthless for anything more than sharing the file where it is. Besides they are usually low res files. People worried about their email address when it was mine that was out there for spammers to find.

Fact is no one participated in WWYD or Edit of the Week. That is why they are not being done anymore. It seems these days the only thing anyone wants to share here is yet more pictures of slobbering bobble head babies.

One of the things we requested from people with the WWYD threads was the static link to the original if at all possible. So, nope, they weren't low-res files if we could help it. That also allowed the right click save.

That, however, is very true. It was why WWYD ended. I think everyone assumes that everyone else will do it.

It is sad that we could not get others to participate. Even links to files would have worked. I just got tired of digging in my own stuff as filler

Yep, that's what happened when I passed the torch on to Windrider, and I'm pretty sure that happened when she ended it... Still, it's a shame really. I always enjoyed the threads.
