This week in Classic Rock Challenge I give you a band that made a pretty big splash in the late 70's. They had a couple of hard rocking songs but mostly they were what I would call Bubblegum music. You guys know what I'm talking about. The music that chicks dig so you put up with it.

You couldn't go to a beer bash without hearing at least 2 or 3 songs by these guys! I did get dragged to a couple of their concerts(yes it was for a girl), & to be honest, that is where I did come to appreciate their music. Their live shows did show their musicianship & they did rock out pretty well.

Foreigner is a rock band formed in New York City in 1976 by veteran musicians Mick Jones and ex-King Crimson member Ian McDonald, along with then-unknown vocalist Lou Gramm (Louis Grammatico). Foreigner has sold more than 50 million albums worldwide (including over 36 million in the United States alone). It's pretty hard to argue with those kind of numbers!

We're going to do a greatest hits for these guys because I'm not sure I can bring myself to do more that 1 of them.

This is my neighbours 2 yr old at his birthday party. If you could see this child with a microphone you would think hes a rock star. Sorry about the blur or lighting but he just wouldnt stand still so i had to snap fast.
